The Electronic Imaging Division supplies photo gear to satisfy various levels of photography lovers. From our instant photography to award-winning X Series brand of Mirrorless cameras and lenses to the premium and innovative large format GFX series of cameras and lenses.

 

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Electronic and Photo Imaging Division team in Canada. This critical position on our sales team will identify, develop, and convert vertical market sales opportunities for Fujifilm Digital Imaging Products. The role involves strategic growth planning to ensure corporate business objectives and financial results are met. Additionally, this position is responsible for generating new business opportunities through cold calling prospective clients, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving the sales of our highly technical digital and instant photography products. A deep understanding of our products and the competitive landscape is required.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for national B2B sales that aligns with company objectives and market opportunities.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Identify potential customers and generate new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, bid site monitoring, networking, committee membership, and attending industry events.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs.
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and results, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to guide and enhance digital lead-generation activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, existing clients, and prospective clients by understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Marketing Team to create and deliver industry-specialized training programs as required.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our highly technical products to effectively communicate their value and benefits to clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Provide after-sales support and handle service issues related to B2B customers, including escalations and technical challenges.
  • Support the Canadian team by participating in tradeshows and events as needed.

Job Description

 

Skills/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within a technical industry.
  • Previous experience in building and implementing successful business development strategies.
  • Strong understanding of photographic products is essential, along with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, including the capacity to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills are critical, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients.
  • A proven track record of successful negotiation and closing deals is required.
  • You must be highly self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented, with a strong drive to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada and the US as required to meet with clients and attend industry events is necessary.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is a strong asset.
