Position Summary:

 

At FUJIFILM Canada we don’t just capture memories, we preserve them. The FUJIFILM Printing Solutions Division allows consumers the unique ability to build high quality customized personalized printed products and preserve those memories in unique ways. Whether it is a calendar of your newborn or a beautiful wedding book, it is all custom, personalized and designed entirely by the end consumer.

The Business Development Specialist will assist in driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, supporting the implementation of growth strategies, and helping maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.

 

The Business Development Specialist will work closely with the Business Development Manager to attract new customers and explore new channels with a focus on off-peak season sales. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and should be flexible, responsive to clients' needs, and eager to learn and grow within the role. Having some experience in strategic planning and business analysis would be beneficial.

 

Fujifilm Canada offers a permanent hybrid work arrangement, with some days required in our Mississauga office and some days working from home.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, trends, customers, partnerships, and alliances.
  • Support efforts to enter new channels that promote non-peak season growth (particularly Business-to-Business sales).
  • Help implement growth strategies and plans, particularly for non-peak season.
  • Assist in managing and retaining relationships with existing clients and partners during peak season.
  • Contribute to increasing the customer base through prospecting, qualifying, and assisting with closing new business deals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, understanding their needs and clearly conveying the value of our products and services.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager and other departments such as marketing, product management, and operations to support business development initiatives.
  • Provide support in conducting research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs.
  • Adjust sales strategies and approaches based on client feedback, market changes, and evolving company goals to ensure ongoing success.
  • Comfortable delivering presentations both internally to teams and externally to clients, demonstrating the value of our products and services.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting business performance and developing metrics to measure progress against goals.
  • Stay informed on market trends and changes in the competitive landscape.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, understanding their needs and supporting the presentation of our products and services.

Qualifications

 

Skills/Education:

  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in business development or a similar role.
  • Previous experience working with promotional products is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of supporting the successful implementation of business development strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Previous experience with strategic planning and business analysis is a strong asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
